7th Street Candle Co is a local, poc-owned retail shop specializing in apothecary + home good items. We also host a number of other local businesses in our space as guest instructors for workshops.

We are a small crew of members focused on providing the best of the best for our Austin community both in person at the shop and online!

 

Part-Time Candle Workshop Instructor

We're looking for someone eager to help our small team with candle making workshops and parties. 

Criteria:

• You are dependable and reliable
• You are friendly and love interacting with your community
• You are a quick learner and enjoy a fast-paced environment
• You are adaptable to new circumstances and a great problem solver
• You are a team player and confident in your social skills
• You are detail oriented and a generally tidy person
• You love what you do!

Various Duties:

• being a welcoming + warm energy to anyone + everyone
• setting up prior to candle pouring experiences
• general housekeeping + cleaning up post workshops
• support in ringing up products for check out
• learning about our apothecary of essential oils and the basics of aromatherapy
• training in candle pouring (no prior experience necessary!)
• support in capturing content + marketing for social media

Minimum Requirements:

• Must live in Austin, TX and have reliable means of transport
• Preferably 1+ years of retail experience
• At least 21+ years of age
• Flexible hours during the week/weekend
• Must be able to commit at least 6 months to the role

Part-Time Shop Assistant (FULL)

We're looking for someone eager to help our small team with various duties around the shop including: retail, candle production, market events, and social media. 

Criteria:

• You are dependable and reliable
• You are friendly and love interacting with your community
• You are a quick learner and enjoy a fast-paced environment
• You are adaptable to new circumstances and a great problem solver
• You are a team player and confident in your social skills
• You are detail oriented and a generally tidy person
• You love what you do!

Various Duties Depending on Availability:

• being a welcoming + warm energy to anyone + everyone
• opening and closing up the shop including general housekeeping + daily cleaning
• support in ringing up products for check out
• aid in production, packaging, + restocking products
• aid in selling products off site at markets or events
• support in capturing content + marketing for social media

Minimum Requirements:

• Must live in Austin, TX and have reliable means of transport
• Preferably 1+ years of retail experience
• At least 20+ years of age
• Flexible hours during the week/weekend 
• Must be able to commit at least 6 months to the role
