Come and enjoy an afternoon of learning at 7th Street Candle Co!

In this class you'll get 2.5-3 hours of instruction from the maker behind Laurel Small Batch Goods! Facilitation is available in both English and Spanish.

There will be 2 machines available for use, but the remaining seats must bring their own sewing machine with the necessary instructions and manuals for their machine to learn.

We will cover the basics of using a sewing machine, including how to wind a bobbin, thread the machine, and set the appropriate settings for the machine. Once the machine is set up, students will practice sewing a straight line and backstitching to create a patchwork scrunchie as their first project. Then, student's will dive into making their own reusable tote bag using secondhand/upcycled fabric. Students will walk away with 2 finished projects (scrunchie and tote bag) and access to a curated resource list to continue on their sewing journey.

By adding a ticket to cart, you accept all policies in place at 7th Street Candle Co to make the class a welcoming and kind environment for yourself and others. Upon arrival you will sign in and agree to our workshop waiver and social media release.
